It is sad that homes are sold at auction in Palm Beach County...

The interesting thing is that it didn't have to happen.  I think that the past has caused Palm Beach County homeowners to think there is an unlimited amount of time before foreclosure happens.  And in the past, that was true.  So what has changed?  There are several reasons why foreclosures are happening faster.  First the settlement with the banks have freed them up to move forward.  The second reason is that the judges and banks are less likely to delay pending sale dates.  In the past, delays were expected, today it is not a given.

So what do you need to know to help you avoid foreclosure?  You need to take action as soon as you know you have an issue.  Time is not something that you want to run out of when you are attempting to avoid foreclosure.  Sometimes, we need to be able to do the short sale process twice.

What else is important?  This is something that could be a deal changer, the Mortgage Forgiveness Act ends at the end of 2012.  So what you say.  No this is big.  If you have a primary residence, this could have a huge tax implication.  Will it be extended?  We don't know and won't until it is about to expire. Is it worth the risk?  Most would say no.  What does this mean?  You need to take action now as the average short sale takes 4 months so we need to find a buyer now and push to stand a chance.

How was your day? Our day selling homes was amazing in Palm Beach County.

I hope you had a great day, I know I did.  I was speaking with one of my clients today and he said, I don't know how you do what you do and you're always so excited.  As I shared with him, I love what I do everyday.  It sounds like a cliche however it is so true.  In fact, I love that I beat my alarm clock on most days.  Why?  Well it is simple, we have big things planned and my passion gets me up and keeps me up.  In fact some days, I feel like I have had too much caffeine and yet, I haven't.  It doesn't take coffee if you love your life.

It can be hard for real estate agents as we see such hardship in Palm Beach County with so many of our short sale clients.  Our real estate team understands that Palm Beach County buyers and sellers need our expertise and encouragement.

Want to love your life?  You should find a way to love it as life is short.  The older I get, the more I appreciate each moment.

Here are a few thoughts that I had:

1.  Surround yourself with people that you like that are passionate about what they do.  We have been blessed to be around people that are as excited about what they do as we are.
2.  Read great books.  If you read something amazing, buy an extra one and share it with someone else.  Looking for a great book?  I just read The Leader Who Had No Title.  There are so many great books, just pick one.
3.  Smile.  It is amazing a smile can be a mood bonus, not just for you, all those around you too.
4.  Eat right.  What you eat matters.
5.  Exercise.
6.  Laugh everyday.
7.  Remember that your clients are counting on you.  Be the calming person in the transaction.  Be positive, this market will reward you.

I hope tomorrow is amazing.  I know mine will be.
